Our Foraging & Picnic Package is your opportunity to learn all about the food produced locally in Kinsale and what makes it so special! This package includes a foraging tour led by Suzanne Burns of Kinsale Food Tours where you will explore the local area and learn about edible seaweeds, shellfish, plants, and flowers and also discuss their health benefits & medicinal uses.

After the tour, you will be treated to a gourmet picnic made with local and foraged produce making this a truly unique experience and time away connecting with nature and the Wild Atlantic Ocean.

If the weather is not favourable, we will continue to proceed with the foraging tour and the picnic will be available to take away for later consumption. Times for this tour is tide-dependent.

Tour duration: Normally 2-2.5 hours. Please note that your own transportation for a foraging tour is essential. This package is available on selected dates, subject to availability.

Our Story

Our reputation for excellent, friendly, personal service and meticulous attention to detail will ensure your visit to The Old Bank Townhouse Kinsale is a special one.

Until the late 18th century the property sat on the edge of a waterway, used by sailing ships when they berthed in the quays. Steeped in history, the Old Bank Townhouse was originally the Munster & Leinster Bank. The heritage of the building dates back to the 1700s and preserves many of the original features with a beautiful Georgian facade, impressive high ceilings, sash windows, and stone fireplaces.

The Townhouse is a proud winner of the Georgina Campbell ‘Guest House of the Year' and a member of the Historic Hotels of Europe. The property has also been recommended by food and hospitality critics Lucinda O'Sullivan and Georgina Campbell and featured in McKenna's Guide.
